Sports festival at a school in Kuzuha city

Racing competition
This Saturday I was invited to attend my host sister's sports festival at her school. I was surprised to see that it was not exactly a sports festival like I had imagined it to be. That is not only because it seemed to go effortlessly smooth, but also because the children themselves were actually the center of attention. They did perform a few pieces for the spectators to enjoy and they did compete, but the notion was that it is the children who are the most important part of this festival, as opposed to the parents and relatives, that is in this case the audience.

Yes, very nice photos. This was a good opportunity for visual anthropology. I'd like to read more about the sports festival.
